Enjoy the ride
Tic Tac has been around since 1969, the year of Woodstock and the first man on the moon. Tic Tac was originally called “Refreshing Mint”, but as early as 1970 the brand name was changed to reflect the characteristic sounds of opening and closing the packaging. Today Tic Tac is available in more than 70 countries and is one of the most international brands of the Ferrero Group.
Task & solution
Together with the international marketing department in Luxembourg, we developed a new concept for the Tic Tac brand’s presence in the travel retail market. The aim was to emotionally charge the brand in the growing travel retail market and to address the Millenials target group with modern, entertaining brand communication.
At the centre of the development was the motto we developed “Enjoy the ride”, which captures the attitude of the young target group towards life, which goes through life positively. Tic Tac encourages us not only to focus on the goal, but also to consciously enjoy every moment with ourselves and our fellow human beings on the way there.
Based on this motto, we developed a new packaging design, print ads and displays, which were produced in cooperation with our subsidiary DoubleQ. In addition, we developed and implemented designs for special campaigns (e.g. TFWA Retail Messe Cannes) and short-term activation measures (e.g. at Palma or Milan airports). On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the brand, for example, we designed and realised an eye-catching secondary placement in conjunction with a promotional game.
Our subsidiary Double Q was responsible for the production of PoS furniture and displays.
