Innovative greenhouse concept
For the international consulting firm Deloitte we developed a “Greenhouse” concept for Germany and implemented it in Berlin. Deloitte operates a so-called “Greenhouse” at 27 locations worldwide – an innovative overall concept that is intended to change the way in which business challenges are dealt with in the future. In the “Greenhouse”, stuck-up patterns of thinking are aimed to be released, creativity stimulated and concrete solutions developed.
Task & solution
The “Greenhouse” served us as a design leitmotif and architectural bracket during the concept development: an abstract grid symbolizes growth and the ramification of economic activity. It runs through the rooms as a recurring element of the facade, wall and ceiling design. Visitors experience the premises as a young and lively creative workshop. In a patchwork of construction wood, glass, metal and upholstered fabric walls as well as with the use of innovative presentation and communication technologies, an urban location with an unusual ambience has been created.
Events, conferences, workshops and meetings with groups of 8 to 80 participants can take place on a multifunctional area. Modular walls and furniture create flexibility in the room and meet the specific requirements of individual formats.
The implementation of the global “Greenhouse” concept for Germany was developed in almost one year of cooperation. Our design and architecture team worked hand in hand with our subsidiary Double Q GmbH, which was responsible for construction planning and site management.
